All PALS courses at VCMC are ‘blended learning’ courses through AHA (American Heart Association). To be eligible for PALS (AHA) card, participants MUST complete both the pre-requisite online AHA ‘HeartCode PALS’ course followed by the 'live PALS Skills Session' at VCMC.

Live, in class with AHA PALS

Skills Instructors/4-5 hours

Fee - payable to AHA ‘eLearning’ online for ‘HeartCode PALS’ at time of registration:

$144 for all participants (no employee discount for online pre-requisite session, and no ‘course code’)

May be started 90 days prior to skills session 

Fee - payable to VCMC Nursing Education for ‘PALS Skills Session’ at time of registration:

Employee rate: (includes VCMC, SPH and associated County of Ventura Clinics employees*

>$30 - Pre-registration required

>$50 – Late registration/Drop in day of class - only if space available**

Non-employee rate:

>$50 - Pre-registration required

>$70 – Late registration/Drop in day of class - only if space available**

>Max 18 students

>Registration closes 48 prior to Skill Session (strongly recommend registration early to guarantee seat in class)

*When creating account on Nursing Ed Website, be sure to select ‘VCMC/SPH’ for user group to assure you get discount. Unable to issue refund of difference after account created.
