This is for current VCMC/AHA Training Center BLS Instructors ONLY to sign up to teach.

This is NOT an instructor course.

BLS/CPR students should go to BLS Provider Course to sign up to take Provider Class.

Instructors must have completed the 2021 Instructor Update.

All BLS/CPR courses at VCMC are ‘blended learning’ courses through AHA (American Heart Association). To be eligible for BLS (AHA) card, participants MUST complete both the pre-requisite online AHA ‘HeartCode BLS’ course followed by the 'live BLS Skills Session' at VCMC. 

1) Must pre-register/pay for ‘skills session date’ at VCMC on the VCMC Nursing Ed website. Please note, pre-register as soon as possible, class size is limited and registration closes 48 hours before class.

2) Must complete the AHA eLearning for 'HeartCode BLS' online (pre-requisite) before skills session and print copy of course completion to bring to skills session.
